Welcome to the
energy saving alliance
Together for energy supply
A secure and sustainable energy supply is of key importance for both the population and the economy in Switzerland. Looking ahead to the winter of 2023/24, it remains important not to waste energy.
The energy saving alliance therefore brings together organisations that support efforts to ensure the security of supply in Switzerland by voluntarily taking measures to use energy in a more efficient and sparing manner.
By committing to the energy alliance, the organisations reaffirm their determination to join forces. They will work consistently to raise awareness amongst their members, partners and employees with respect to the economic use of energy and encourage and enable them to act accordingly.
Signatories of the alliance
- actively support the alliance’s objectives,
- communicate the contents of the www.dont-waste.ch campaign
- and/or our members implement additional energy saving measures of their own.
These efficiency measures must be specific to the sector or company, be implemented in addition to existing efficiency measures within the organisation and be effective in the short to medium term.
With their voluntary measures, the alliance’s members will contribute to ensuring that the energy supply in Switzerland is secured for as long as possible.
Joining the alliance is possible at any time.

Review Spring Event
21. April 2023
Exchange, networking and a lot of tangible commitment: Yesterday, the members of the Energy Saving Alliance met in Bern for their spring event. It was the second meeting of this kind. While last autumn’s event focused on the founding of the Alliance and the acute danger of an energy shortage, this time the focus was on the longer-term perspective.
Federal Councillors Albert Rösti and Guy Parmelin emphasised the importance of this commitment: Federal Councillor Albert Rösti appealed to make the necessary savings in time for next winter, because all measures are cheaper than dealing with a power shortage. Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin added that we must act now in order to be ready at any time. As various members impressively demonstrated with their concrete examples after the speeches, a lot can be achieved with few resources. However, this only works if there is knowledge about the savings potential. For this reason, voluntary measures that are implemented directly where they have an effect are particularly important. The Energy Saving Alliance makes this commitment visible and thus makes an important contribution to preventing energy shortages.
